12 years of experience programming music for commercial radio stations across several genres and target demographics, I have an immensely wide understanding of the music spectrum. By request, I am available to DJ a variety of events under one proviso: you, your guests and I will have fun.

You, as an event host, approach with a theme/styleguide many weeks prior. Preferred musical eras, genres, is it for dancing or background music etc.
I study that theme tirelessly, curating the strongest possible playlist. It could be any style of music – just try me! I send a draft to you with notes, then implementing all feedback you give me. It’s your event and your idea: what I do must be in consultation with you and your wishes. Based on those wishes, I provide the best music for your desired atmosphere.

You can see from the above photo, I’m not afraid to embrace your theme! This photo of me in action, dancing as I go, was taken at the Wuthering Glam Glitter Ball, the after-party for hundreds of dancers who re-enacted Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights video clip on July 16, 2016. I was approached with a specific idea in mind to play music from the late 70s era in which this song was a hit, focusing on glam rock. This meant David Bowie, T-Rex, Slade, Blondie etc. was the basis for my musical curating. I drew the Aladdin Sane-style lightning bolt on my face, organised a heavily sequinned cloak and embraced the hell out of that theme. I dance as I play amazing songs including The Sweet’s Fox on the Run, the crowd dances too and the circular energy throughout the venue grows and grows. DJ, host and guests alike have a stack of fun. *Costume is not always necessary!

My hosting skills need not necessarily be related to music. I’ve hosted many other events including trivia nights, sporting events, award ceremonies and fashion parades. My enthusiastic, jovial, professional attitude help an event to be entertaining, relaxed and efficient. Sporting clients include Brisbane Roar, North Queensland Cowboys & Footscray Football Clubs. I’ve helped raise thousands of dollars for charities, not just by hosting, but brainstorming and consulting with hosts prior to events. I hope to raise more in the future.
